Robert Sutter

Robert worked as a Senior Lecturer in Digital Art at the University of the West of Scotland, (UWS). During his 12 years as programme leader at UWS, he also developed franchised Batchelor programmes in Graphic Design, Contemporary Art Practice and Photography.

Robert has 40 years' experience of working in Secondary, Special Needs, VET and Higher Education sectors. Located in Glasgow, he is currently consulting with various European Universities on curricular development in the area of new media design.

Robert graduated from Grays School of Art, Aberdeen and Moray House College of Education, Edinburgh where he achieved a Diploma in Art and Design and a postgraduate qualification (PG Dip) in Secondary Education, (Art and Design).

In 2000 he was appointed Senior Development Officer for the Scottish Qualification Authority, (SQA) in the review of 143 locally devised programmes condensed into 6 Scottish National Art & Design frameworks. During the period of 2005-2009 he acted as External Examiner to the BA Computer Arts programme at the University of Abertay, Dundee.

Between 2009-2013 he was a visiting lecturer, at the ICDC in Münsingen, Germany; Grebbestad, Sweden and Kemmel, Belgium. After 3 years' experience of working with partners in EU funded Intensive programmes Robert and his project partners prepared a successful Erasmus+ bid, CIGN.

He has recently been a guest lecturer at Linköping University School of Media Information Technology, (2016-2022) where he taught on visualisation projects in 3DCGI and computer animation.

His most recent research interests have included International pedagogical development in the area of Cross-Media Art & Design.

He has, over the past decade, also written/co-written papers and presented at a variety of international Educational conferences in the areas of Education, Research and Innovation.
